I was extremely honored to be volunteering at such an event. For the first few days I was the translator of Sarah Willis, BerlinPhil’s low horn. A very honorable moment for me, who was still a young man in 2019.
Met many other interesting professors and soloists as well. This is Přemysl Vojta, a great horn player from Czech. One day I walked him back to his hotel. We complained about the scooters in Beijing not following traffic rules. He told me that in some places in Europe, electric scooters are also driven recklessly. Haha. I thought it was a Beijing specialty.
